If a boy’s night out playing the poker tables is your husband’s idea of a good time, you can give him his fun and a birthday surprise at the same time. All you need is a little help from his friends that like to play poker.
Naturally, you have to make sure you have enough players to get the game night set up. Pick the date and make sure they are all available. On the big day, you need to get your spouse out of the house so you can set up the room for the big game.
If you don’t have a table big enough for the group, you can rent a poker table and chips from many party rental businesses. Set the table up in the room with several decks of fresh cards.
If any of your guests are smokers, make sure you have cigars and ashtrays on hand for them to use while they are playing. You should also consider air control to keep the room from becoming too smoky.
If you really want the night to be entertaining, you can dress up as the cocktail waitress and serve beverages for your spouse and his friends, otherwise, make sure you set up a bar with refreshments and snacks that can be left out as finger foods.
Before time for your spouse arrives, makes sure his friends are there are ready to play. If you want a dealer, ask one of his friends if they would like to be the dealer instead of playing. Make sure you have your husband’s cash out on his seat so he can come in and go right to the game. You may want to have stakes limits set on the game before it starts so that it stays a friendly game and doesn’t become a high stakes game that is illegal and causes problems.
Once the games begin, if you aren’t serving drinks, tell the boys to have fun and go get a massage while the boys have a night of gambling and fun safe at home.
What a great idea. We don’t have casinos in our state and my husband loves poker, I am so doing this for his next birthday.
me, too, only i decided to dress up as the dealer and surprise my husband when he came home. he loved this and the boys have a great time playing casino for hours.
